At Kaoru's house, one fine day, a plush bear named Rilakkuma appeared out of nowhere and made itself at home. With a constant laziness in its demeanor, Rilakkuma remains a mystery as the contents within its zipped back stay hidden. Pancakes, rice omelettes, custard pudding, and dango rice dumplings top Rilakkuma's list of favorite foods. The bear duo is accompanied by Kaoru's pet bird Kiiroitori and the mysteriously appearing white bear cub, Korilakkuma, who are Rilakkuma's closest comrades.
