While exploring the ruins, Professor Sycamore and Alexa come across a stone statue of Aila, a woman with a fascinating legend. According to Kalos records, Aila's lover Jan endeavored to defeat Yveltal, the Destruction Pokémon. His failure resulted in the eradication of life from the land and Aila's transformation into stone. Despite the catastrophic consequences, Jan persisted and sought out the Life Pokémon Xerneas to revive the barren terrain. Unfortunately, Aila remained stone-cold. But, as the cycle of creation and destruction persisted in Kalos, the Appearance Pokémon Zygarde arrived to restore balance, and Jan remained by Aila's side.
