After three hundred million years, the original abode of the Genesect has vanished and is now inhabitable. A small population of the Paleozoic Pokémon survives, determined to find a new place to call home. Led by a Shiny Genesect and accompanied by the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo, these wanderers end up in New Tork City. The Genesect recognize the similarities between the city and their former home and seize control of the center, ousting other Pokémon and endangering the local population. Things take a turn for the worse when the Genesect leader challenges Mewtwo to a high-speed showdown that could annihilate the city. It's up to Satoshi and his companions to save the city and bring harmony to the feuding Pokémon.
