With his towering height and strong physique, high school freshman Takeo Gouda is far from an average teen. Despite his imposing appearance, Takeo is a kind and courageous individual who has impressed his male peers. Yet, his looks prove to be a disadvantage in love. His intimidating figure is enough to scare away the opposite sex, especially as his best friend, Makoto Sunakawa, is charming and attractive, winning over every girl that Takeo shows interest in. However, one day, Takeo rescues Rinko Yamato from harassment and instantly falls in love with her, despite his fear that she may be interested in Sunakawa. Nonetheless, Takeo decides to play cupid for Yamato, even as he yearns for a chance at love himself.
