Monkey Turn is an anime about the world of professional speed boat racing, based on Kawai Katsutoshi's manga published in Weekly Shounen Sunday. The main character, Tadano Kenji, once dreamed of being a professional baseball player, but his short stature prevented him from pursuing that path. So, at the suggestion of his baseball coach, he turned to boat racing. Unexpectedly, he reunites with his ex-girlfriend and they make a deal: if she stays faithful to him, he will strive to become Japan's top racer within three years. Kenji-san has created a new maneuver called the "Monkey Turn," which gives him an advantage over his competitors, but the question remains whether it will be enough to make him the best racer.
