Junjou Romantica is a compilation of three romantic stories that follow the lives of different couples. The first one involves Misaki Takahashi, who witnesses his elder brother being touched inappropriately by Akihiko Usami, a renowned novelist and his brother's close friend. Akihiko becomes Misaki's tutor, but Misaki's trust in him is tested due to his latest boys-love novel. The second story centers around Hiroki Kamijou, a professor of classical literature, who helps his student Nowaki Kusama prepare for an upcoming exam. As they grow closer, they reveal more about themselves. Finally, wealthy teenager Shinobu Takatsuki, who was saved from a robbery by You Miyagi, a coworker of Hiroki's, decides he wants to date You after Shinobu's sister divorces him. Despite You's attempts to deter him, Shinobu remains devoted to their love story.
