Akane discovers her true identity as the Ryuujin no Miko in Kyou and is introduced to her protectors, the Hachiyou. Their mission is to vanquish Akuram and his associate Azusa, who has the ability to siphon human vitality, in order to prevent the ruin of Kyou and the extinction of humanity. Cooperation is vital for them to attain harmony and stability.
