Shou Yamato, a passionate mountain bike (MTB) enthusiast, finds himself and his friends Kakeru and Makoto suddenly transported to a foreign realm during a race. This world, dubbed "X-Zone," centers around intense MTB clashes known as Idaten battles, which feature unique tracks, regulations, and latent bike abilities. To escape X-Zone, the trio must emerge victorious in the competition and seize the MTB symbols from their vanquished foes. Although initially disoriented and fearful of the mysterious land, Shou is thrilled at the chance to compete against fellow MTB riders, forge new friendships and enemies, and investigate the secrets that lurk within X-Zone and could significantly impact his destiny. Together, Shou and his comrades must survive a perilous expedition marked by covert plots against them in order to find a way back home unscathed.
