Seto Ichitaka harbors feelings for Yoshizuki Iori, a fellow classmate who has amassed a fan club due to her immense popularity at school. Although he longs to be with her, Ichitaka's shyness has prevented him from even striking up a conversation with her. Against all odds, a miracle occurs and he finds himself working alongside Iori on the Freshmen Welcoming Party. While things appear to be looking up for Seto, his optimism is short-lived as an old childhood friend plans to pay him a visit.
