Yuuto Ayase and Haruka Nogizaka are the central characters of the story. Haruka is a well-to-do, intelligent and attractive student who is the most sought-after girl in school. She is also dubbed "Nuit Étoile" (The Silver Star of the Night) and "Lumière du Clavier" (The Shining Princess on the Piano) due to her French sounding name. Despite her immense popularity, Haruka has a hidden passion for anime, manga and otaku culture. One day, Yuuto accidentally discovers her secret at the library and promises to keep it to himself, resulting in him becoming her closest confidant. Over time, Yuuto assists Haruka in pursuing her hobbies, while their relationship strengthens.
