Nyarlko, a shape-shifting deity of Cthulhu with no definitive form, is the main character of the story. She commonly takes on the guise of a young lady with silver hair. Mahiro Yasaka, a typical high school student, is being chased by aliens one night when Nyarlko swoops in to save him, making her a mysterious figure known as "Nyarlko".
