Sitting at the bottom of Japan's dump site is Rags Town, a place where individuals looking for a fresh start or seeking to escape their pasts run to, and stringent regulations forbid any past-related or personal inquiries. However, amid these restrictions lies a tiny detective agency, S&A Detectives. The story centers on Manami's impulsive case, Ayamana, a duo of outcast wannabe detectives, and the problems that come with it. During their investigation, they encounter Sara, a woman who emits an unusual heat and is relentlessly pursued by gun-wielding women. As they attempt to unravel Sara's mystery, young girls around the town begin to combust and an inexplicable phenomenon leaves them turning into glass. Though the government attempts to hide the occurrences, the detectives, aided by a curious reporter and the local police, are determined to uncover the truth.
