After catching a movie pirate at a premiere, Gintoki reviews the camera footage and finds himself transported to a post-apocalyptic Edo through an android time machine. Five years have passed, and the devastating "White Plague" has ravaged the world's population. Discovering that his Yorozuya partners are now independent fighters and he disappeared after leaving an enigmatic message in his journal, Gintoki reunites with his team disguised by the time machine. Their mission is to investigate the outbreak and combat the epidemic, and along the way, Gintoki realizes that his salvation lies in confronting his past. With his friends by his side, he battles a formidable foe, secure in the knowledge that he doesn't have to fight alone.
