In ancient times, a courageous swordsman earned the moniker "the hero" after bravely battling a malevolent demon causing hardship for the people. He and his allies united their strengths to swiftly defeat the demon, creating a peaceful environment on the island. Years later, the demon is resurrected and Dai, our protagonist inhabiting an isolated island in the southern seas, aspires to become a great hero. Upon learning of the demon's return, Dai and his comrades take on the responsibility of thwarting both the demon and its wicked reanimator. Throughout their journey, Dai unearths the true identity of "the hero," the secrets behind the force responsible for the demon's revival, and his own latent abilities that materialize during moments of danger.
