In a tournament featuring animal robots that can transform, Akira Akebono is relentless in his pursuit of the Titan Belt. His team of trusted robots, which can combine to form Daigunder – a mighty robot invented by his father, Professor Hajime Akebono – competes as Team Akira with the help of Haruka. Nevertheless, their path to victory is jeopardized by their opponents and also by Ginzan, a robot under the control of the villainous Professor Maelstrom.
