The follow-up to "Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2202" is "Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2205." It was recently shown in theaters as a duology movie with four episodes fused together for each film: "Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi - Zenshou - TAKE OFF -" and "Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi - Koushou -STASHA-."
