With her unique ability, Michiru Kita can see a "ring of death" around people's necks, allowing her to anticipate their impending doom. While this remains a mystery to most, Michiru knows her own fate all too well. When she notices two classmates, Chika Akatsuki and Shito Tachibana, sporting completely black rings, she feels compelled to warn them. But as she delves deeper, she discovers that the boys are already deceased, bound to the living by a mysterious loan office known as Zombie-Loan. To pay off their debt, they hunt and eliminate zombies. When they learn of Michiru's "Shinigami Eyes", they pull her into their perilous world. But everything comes at a cost.
