Upon successfully rescuing Esteria from the malevolent Dark Fact, Adol Christen sets off with the two priestesses to the high-flying realm of Ys, where the inhabitants succumb to evil and surrender to despair. The fate of Ys rests in the hands of Adol, the inheritor of priestly abilities who possesses the ability to reveal the realities of the world to the forlorn folk of Ys. However, as Adol becomes increasingly powerful, he may be the savior of Ys, or the root cause of its destruction.
