In 1580, the skies are graced with the passing of a comet, signifying the return of the dark god from the Earth's depths. With it comes the emergence of evil lurking in the shadows of Hell, making its presence known in the present world. The blade of the wind's emotions gather at the source of a blue light, and the three blades merge into one, poised to defeat the evil threatening the world. Surviving the massacre of her clan at the hands of the unholy armies of Lord Nobunaga Oda, Ayame, the last of the Kasumi clan and a skilled ninja, retreats into the shadows. Armed with a mystical dagger, one of three enchanted blades, she sets out on a mission to unite with renegade ninja Sakon and Ryoma, the owners of the sacred sword and spear, respectively. Together, they must combine their weapons and expertise to fulfill the "Prophesy of the Enchanted Swords" or die trying.
