Five centuries have elapsed since the ‘Beasts’ exterminated humanity, leaving only small clusters of surviving races to inhabit floating islands beyond the reach of most. Staving off invasions from the abysmal monsters requires ancient weaponry wielded exclusively by the Leprechauns, a plucky band of girls facing certain death at every turn. Their fleeting existence, however, is dramatically altered when an unexpected character enters their lives: a young man who had lost everything in humanity's final battle, and whose long cryogenic slumber has now come to an end. Willem, no longer capable of battle, becomes the father that the girls never had, nurturing and caring for them as they grapple with a new understanding of family and what is worth fighting for---just as he once did when his own daughter awaited his return from battle so long ago.
