Expanding on the initial chapter, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai delves further into the inscrutable conundrums that plague the previous season. Set during the unrelenting summer of 1983, the young group residing in Hinamizawa are confronted with severe conflicts, leading to the merciless killing of one of their own. Continuous obstacles arise for Furude Rika and her spiritual companion Hanyuu, as they persist in their efforts to prevent a tragic outcome.
