Fuuka and Rinne grew up together in the same orphanage and used to be best friends. However, they eventually had a falling out when Rinne demonstrated her superior martial arts abilities by defeating Fuuka in a disagreement. Fuuka struggled to make ends meet after leaving the orphanage, but a chance encounter with the famous martial arts champion, Einhald Stratos, uncovered her natural talent for fighting. Einhald recognized her potential and gave her an offer for a job, along with training and encouragement to reunite with Rinne in the ring.
