Youta Moteuchi is left heartbroken after being rejected and returns home feeling dejected. While he's making his way back, he spots a video store with dim lighting and decides to buy a tape featuring a "video girl" meant to provide comfort to men that feel alone. But, when he puts the tape into his malfunctioning VCR, a stunning girl named Ai Amano jumps right out of the TV and lands on his bed. Youta sees an opportunity to finally find true love with Ai; however, when the personality of the video girl starts to develop quirks due to the VCR's malfunctions, things get complicated.
