However, their imagined paradise was far from reality as limited crop production and intense competition for resources led to escalating tensions that brought the two continents inhabiting Venus on the brink of war. As Aphrodia's capital was attacked by Ishtar, journalist Susan Sommers arrived on the scene. Thanks to Hiro Seno and his team of Battle Bikers, Sue narrowly escaped certain death. Despite Ishtar's takeover of Aphrodia, Sue, Hiro, and his team refuse to give up and are currently on the run. Their mastery of Battle Biking, a combination of bike racing and roller derby, may hold the key to Aphrodia's victory in the Venus Wars.
