Initially, Ushio is skeptical of his father's tale about their ancestor defeating a demon using the Beast Spear and brushes it off as insane. Yet, his opinion metamorphoses after he encounters a similar monster in his own cellar, prompting him to contemplate that there might be truth to the legend. Despite reservations, Ushio resolves not to disturb the demon for fear of the severe consequences that could follow. Sadly, the creature's release unleashes a horde of malevolent spirits in his hometown, necessitating that Ushio liberate Tora from captivity to safeguard his loved ones. Regrettably, Ushio fears that freeing Tora poses a grave risk to his survival. Can he control Tora with the fabled weapon, or will the city be forever helpless?
