Shinran, a Buddhist monk, encounters Yuien, a troubled youth, and shares his teachings with him. Moved by his words, Shinran extends an offer to Yuien to become his apprentice. Together, they embark on an emotional journey of highs and lows, encountering moments of elation as well as heartbreak.
