In the heat of battle, 044 encounters Luka, a Phage opponent, and finds herself unable to execute him for unexplainable reasons. Consequently, Daxus Jr., the chief of the government's mission, brands her a traitor. With Phage and the government pursuing her, she chooses to flee with the injured Luka.
