The Blu-ray box set encompasses an unaired episode. Yuusaku surprises the class by presenting an elaborate bento box, causing Ryuuji to feel inadequate about his own bento-making talents. Determined to surpass Yuusaku's bentos, Ryuuji becomes fixated and begins competing with him, even taking a rice cooker to school. However, after Taiga offers him some salty onigiri, Ryuuji realizes the sentimental value behind bentos, rather than just their taste.
