Upon graduating from the police academy, Shindou Ranmaru is assigned to the Tokko: Special Mobile Investigation Force. Coincidentally, he encounters Rokujo Sakura, the scantily-clad woman from his recurring dreams, on the day of his commencement. Sakura is an operative in a covert subdivision of Tokki, Tokko: Special Public Safety Task Force. In order to seek retribution for his parents' demise and uncover the perplexing homicide of citizens in his homeland of Machida, Shindou enlists in Tokko. Meanwhile, colossal chasms manifest all over Japan, with enigmatic creatures emerging from their depths. Could the Machida Massacre be related to these events?
