Komaki's Manaka has a crush on Kono Takaaki, but her shyness prevents her from approaching him. Instead, she indulges in daydreams. In the library one day, Takaaki offers to assist her, and they begin regular training sessions where they address each other by their first names. However, while exchanging pleasantries outside the library, Takaaki's friend Kosaka Yuji overhears them, and news of their relationship spreads, causing other girls who are keen on Takaaki to take note.
