After Japan was left in ruins following a devastating third world war, an organization by the name of Vischio took control of Tokyo, renaming the city Toshima. Within its back alleys lies a series of battle games called Igura, overseen by Vischio. Contestants fight mercilessly and spill each other's blood in a bid to face the King of Igura, Il-re. However, Igura is not the only fighting tournament in town. Bl@ster is a parallel game that forbids the use of weapons and murder. Competitors must knock out their opponents to clinch victory. Akira, a solitary man estranged from his family, is a revered champion in Bl@ster due to his unbeatable record. But his life takes a drastic turn when he's wrongly accused of murder. Failing to prove his innocence, his existence seems hopeless... until Emma, a mysterious woman, enters his life with an offer. To attain freedom, Akira must participate in Igura and defeat Il-re. But it'll take more than just physical strength to emerge triumphant.
