A mysterious entity referred to only as "It" is sent to Earth for distant observation in the form of an Orb. Capable of taking on the guise of any being whose reflection It captures, It begins as a humble rock and transforms into moss as temperatures climb higher. For the longest while, It remains inert - until the day a near-death wolf stumbles by during a snowstorm. In assuming the wolf's form, It unexpectedly gains a newfound consciousness and sets out on an aimless journey. Soon enough, It encounters the wolf's young master, a solitary boy waiting patiently for his tribe to return from their bountiful southern paradise full of fish and fruit. Though lonely, the boy remains hopeful that his loved ones will not forget him and dreams of reuniting with them again someday. Eager to explore new frontiers, the boy leaves his home with It, hoping to follow his tribe's trail and find paradise. But with a badly wounded body and no signs of his kin, what fate lies in store for the poor boy? "Fumetsu no Anata e" is the tale of an immortal being's foray into the ways of humanity as It journeys across time and space, encountering diverse individuals along the way.
