At summer camp, Luise, who is outspoken, and Lotte, who is shy, come across one another and discover they are actually identical twins who were separated by their divorced parents soon after birth. As they develop a friendship, the girls decide to trade places in order to explore the family they never had a chance to grow up with and, with any luck, bring their fractured family unit back together.
