After falling off her horse, Aramis was helped by Francois, with whom she fell deeply in love. Tragically, Francois was murdered by Manson and the Ironmask's people, driving Aramis to seek vengeance. She departed for Paris and became a musketeer. One year later, D'Artagnan had drinks with his fellow musketeers when they came across Jussac and the Cardinal's Guards harassing a woman. Without hesitation, they intervened and won the fight. Later, D'Artagnan saved the same woman from drowning in the river and brought her back to his home. Though she vanished the next day, D'Artagnan was suspected of her murder and arrested by Rochefort and the Cardinal's guards. Aramis began her own investigation and discovered that the story was related to Catherine de Médicis, and eventually ended up defending a dangerous document against Pizzaro at her own beloved's castle.
