One fall evening, a solitary senior in college discovers a peculiar ramen stand nestled behind the Shimogamo Shrine. There, he encounters a whimsical individual who introduces himself as the god of matrimony, boasting an eggplant-shaped head. The encounter sparks contemplation within the student as he reflects on the last two years of his campus life, which he spent with his sole companion, Ozu, a ghastly-looking figure dedicated to disrupting campus couples.
