At the close of the 1800s, Wisteria exists solely as an orphaned young girl tucked away in a remote region of the British Empire. Her existence is one filled with drab emptiness, that is until she crosses paths with Marbas; a furry, yet influential immortal being who is relentlessly pursued by hunters. When they join forces, the pair traverse the Empire, which is home to humans and other human-like creatures, in an attempt to locate a tranquil haven where they can coexist in harmony.
