He finds solace in the RPG game Dungeon Century where he has developed a close bond with an online friend, Rei Riku, whom he secretly has a crush on. Suigin's world crumbles when Dungeon Century abruptly shuts down, but his heartache turns to concern when he discovers that Rei is the same person he's been crushing on. Before he can catch his breath, Rei is abducted and transported into the new pay-to-win game, Grave Buster, created by the developers of Dungeon Century. Driven by his desire to save Rei and confront the mysteries of this new game, Suigin braves the unknown terrain of Grave Buster. The second season of Gin no Guardian chronicles Suigin's quest to rescue Rei from Grave Buster and unravel the game's inscrutabilities.
