Echizen Ryoma, an outstanding young tennis player, has won four consecutive championships. However, he desperately wants to break free from the shadow of his father, a former professional player. In search of a new challenge, he joins Seishun Gakuen, one of Japan's prestigious tennis academies, where he works with his teammates to discover his distinctive style of tennis, and conquer his greatest obstacle - his father and personal doubts.
