In ages past, humans and demons were embroiled in a brutal war that left destruction and loss in its wake. In a bid to end the bloodshed, Demon King Anos Voldigoad chose to sacrifice himself, with the hope of being reincarnated in a future of peace. To welcome back their king, the demon race created the prestigious Demon King Academy, with the sole purpose of identifying Anos upon his return. Two thousand years after his death, Anos awakens to a world where magic has dwindled, and demonkind has a spurious account of his persona and accomplishments. Ostracized by the academy for lacking common knowledge, Anos sets out to reveal the truth about his legacy, as well as to claim his rightful title. Undeterred by the challenges, Anos seeks to make his descendants understand that their true ruler has returned.
