During the 1920s in the northeastern forests of Japan, there lived a character named Budori Gusuko. His story resembled a fairy tale as he was compelled to leave his home due to droughts and other natural disasters. Setting out to find a more prosperous life, he found himself joining the Ihatov Volcano Department where scientists were working to tackle the same ecological challenges that had forced Budori to leave his abode. In this new role, he became an active participant.
