The story revolves around Tatami-chan, a sarcastic ghost hailing from Iwate Prefecture. She now resides in Tokyo alongside other fellow spirits, mystical creatures, and humans, making for a unique "pleasant horror gag comedy" experience. Apart from handling matters of the otherworld, Tatami-chan also faces the challenges of finding employment and managing expenses for gas, water, and electricity.
