Takao Akizuki, a hopeful shoemaker, chooses to ditch class one rainy morning in Tokyo and head to a picturesque garden to sketch his designs. It's there that he crosses paths with the enigmatic Yukari Yukino. Takao kindly offers to make her new shoes, and their meetings persist during the inclement weather. Gradually, as they spend time together, they find solace from their unvoiced fears. Nevertheless, obstacles arise, and with the end of the rainy season approaching, they are confronted with challenging scrutiny that puts their bond to the test.
