"The File of Inspector Akechi" (Akechi Keibu no Jikenbo) is set to air on December 26 as a special one-hour TV episode, according to an announcement made by the official website of anime series, The File of Young Kindaichi Returns last Sunday. Alongside the plot description featured in the trailer released on the site, it was also revealed that Yudai Chiba will be portraying junior detective Ryutaro Kobayashi, who will be appearing in the episode alongside Kengo Akechi.
