Despite his efforts to lead a normal life, Kusuo Saiki, a gifted psychic, is constantly faced with turmoil. Though he has learned to deal with his troublesome friends who disrupt his quest for peace, he still has a long way to go. Adding to his misery are new characters whose actions make it seem impossible for Saiki to achieve his goal of a stress-free life. His dreams of an unencumbered existence remain a distant mirage.
