Kyoutaro Ichikawa may seem like a regular middle schooler, but harbored deep inside him is the urge to commit murder. Specifically, his target is none other than the school’s beloved Anna Yamada. While perusing the library shelves, Ichikawa stumbles upon Yamada’s secret candy stash and begins to regularly cross paths with her. Despite her apparent airheadedness, Ichikawa finds himself inexplicably drawn to her. Yamada, on the other hand, takes delight in teasing and tripping up Ichikawa whenever possible. As their daily encounters accumulate, a strange sort of friendship develops between the two. Could it be that Ichikawa’s once-homicidal thoughts have undergone a morph into something more benign? Only time will tell.
