When Fuuka Miyazawa abandons her idol career, she impulsively flees to Okinawa to evade her sorrows in Morioka. Despite having no set destination and bearing a heavy heart, she wanders aimlessly until she stumbles upon the dilapidated Gama Gama Aquarium on the verge of closing down. The dire truth of the director's responsibility to shut down the facility looms ahead due to the declining numbers of visitors and the expensive upgrades demanded to keep it running before summer's end. Determined to keep the aquarium operational, Kukuru Misakino, the director's granddaughter, resolves to raise adequate funds to prevent its closure. Enchanted by the aquarium's singular charm, Fuuka pleads with Kukuru for an opportunity to work there. However, she soon recognizes that her lack of expertise makes her a liability instead of an asset, while Kukuru confronts the possibility that Fuuka's motivation surpasses her capability.
