This stage version is based on the manga by Yokoyama Mitsuteru and follows the story of Kaneda Shotaro, a brilliant detective alongside his colossal robot named Tetsujin 28, set in post-World War II Tokyo. Shotaro's sibling is introduced as a new character, being trained to pilot Tetsujin during the war. Unfortunately, his aspirations for a peaceful Japan after the war are disrupted when "Destruction Bombs," the ultimate weapons engineered by Professor Kaneda (the father of Shotaro and the inventor of Tetsujin) are found in various locations throughout Tokyo. If detonated, the bombs will completely destroy the city.
