Takasumi Takane, an 11-year-old, must be among the top 100 scorers in his exams to get a new bicycle. Unfortunately, he falls short, coming in at 112th place. Wanting to avoid disappointing his mother, he lies that he got 92nd place and tears up his answer sheets. Tamaki, Takane's younger sister, is enraged when he accidentally damages her old bicycle, which he plans to give to her. She accuses him of lying, leading Takane to view her as a nuisance. One night while searching for his lost dog, Chris, Takane encounters Yoyogi, a young man in possession of the answer sheet with the coveted 92nd place. Yoyogi proposes a trade, threatening to return the answer sheet to its rightful owner unless Takane provides him with something he doesn't need. To Takane's horror, he jokingly offers up Tamaki. However, Yoyogi transforms Tamaki into a glittering object and swallows her whole. Upon realizing his mistake, Takane sets out to rescue her. Yoyogi suggests that Takane must win a race against him on his broken bicycle to restore Tamaki to her original form. Can Takane overcome the odds and emerge as the winner to save Tamaki?
