The setting for Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Gaiden: Sword Oratoria is Orario, a bustling city of adventure. Ais Wallenstein, the Sword Princess, and Lefiya Viridis, a novice mage, are members of the Loki Familia, skilled in monster hunting. With their group, they travel to the dangerous dungeon under the Babel Tower. Ais aims to become a master swordsman by defeating powerful monsters, while Lefiya strives to become the most powerful mage in the land by following in the footsteps of Loki Familia's vice-captain, Riveria Ljos Alf.
