Fumi Manjoume and Akira Okudaira were inseparable friends in elementary school. However, their bond was severed when Fumi and her family relocated. Several years later, Fumi returns to her hometown to attend Matsuoka Girls’ High School, where she reunites with Akira who will be attending Fujigatani Girls’ Academy. Though their friendship is rekindled, it is not the same as before. Upon starting school, Fumi catches the eye of Yasuko Sugimoto, a popular senior who showers her with praise. Fumi realizes that she needs to discover who she is as an individual rather than constantly relying on Akira for support. Nevertheless, Akira yearns for their friendship to return to its former glory. Will the girls be able to navigate the challenges of high school and maintain their bond or will they grow apart?
